History: He was born in the south. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Kite was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he loathes his own lifestyle

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jo grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jo grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jo. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
