History: Shax was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Shax alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
