Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Mayor. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Reynard grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
