Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Rathkran is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
