He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Ortegar was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Ortegar decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Shanairla fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
