History: Zephan lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 2 years.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Orla isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Gnomish unity. She has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Orla grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She found a children's book about a Gnome Cleric who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and she desires to right it; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. At a young age her father died while driving off some giants. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in lance use. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
