History: Gilkass lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Gilkass was born on a far western desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Shipwright. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Shipwright and was forced into it by her family; and to reunite with her absent father
