History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His childhood dream was to be a Sage, but he was a colossal failure. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. While he appears to be a normal Halfling, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 2 years.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Bather they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Tailor, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and a deep hatred of dire rats
