History: Howard lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Born in the east to a Fletcher, Direcris learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Fletcher. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Direcris was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.
