History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Roland grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Roland. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. A freak accident while working with his Painter father left him crippled. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: He was born in the north. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Nordak alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born in the west. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Doudra was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
