History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Interpreter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. History: Trail was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Aristocrat, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Aristocrat in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has worked as a Layabout like her mother before her.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Burto's homeland. Burto decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Burto fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
