Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Malquis's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Born in the west to a Merchant, Malquis learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Merchant. She's also a talented Armorer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and wants to open a new tavern

His silver hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady blue eyes.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and money/treasure

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Meena and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Chad is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
