History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ahlyssa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Gurdis hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Tabaxi activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tabaxi doctor. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She tends to her Detective job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and to prove her worth to the world
