Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her father.

History: Oriff lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When Oriff reached her early adolescence her Dwarf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Navigator and was forced into it by her family.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: Carrie lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Carrie has worked very hard to control his curse. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Carrie was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

She sports a flattop hair cut. Her gray eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. A gifted student she started as a Bellfounder, but she got bored and became a Blacksmith. She tends to her Blacksmith job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Emmeline was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
