History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Jarsali hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her poetry career. She uses her nature as a weapon; she likes to lead opponents to think her in distress.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jarsali grew up listening to her mother's many stories. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Mardnab hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Through the years after Mardnab was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Mardnab's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it; and a deep hatred of gnolls
