Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: He was born in the west. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Ghaliver alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She works hard and plays hard.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying brother.
