History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Gerard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Gerard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Armorer they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Knight, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Shava was born on a far northern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Healer. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.
