History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Through the years after Dain was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Dain's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Being a Painter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born into a rich family. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Tanner they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Brewer, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Left-Handed fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
