History: Gimble was born with his father's beautiful face. Through the years after Gimble was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gimble's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

History: She is a Jackalwere in disguise. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
