History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Roland was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: Caramip hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Her father worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled father and took her father's old job. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. She has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Beiro lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
