Gerald's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She dropped out of school to support her sick father, and resented it. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and doesn't want to be a map maker and was forced into it by her family
