Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the north were limited. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Nija was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature morningstar.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and she's looking for her big break

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions
