History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Flask was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Description: She typically wears grey cloth garments or leather armor, but does not cut a very imposing figure. She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 4'2" when asserting herself. She keeps her auburn hair in a flapper bob. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 12th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Valida alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Jelenneth was born the youngest of three triplets. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and she feels threatened by others

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Description: He wears many layers of old clothing at all times. He is bristling with hidden weapons, mostly hand crossbows and scythes. He wears his brown hair up. His hazel eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, John is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.
