History: He comes from a rich northern family. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. After months of barely getting by, Roger managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

History: Griselda was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Her parents were killed by brigands in a raid when she was still a young child. The brigands captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Jeweler. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
