History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Adelard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. A gifted student she started as a Spy, but she got bored and became a Unemployed. Recently the stress of being a Unemployed has made it difficult for her to sleep.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day; and she is unsatisfied with her job

History: Nirgel lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Laborer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Mayor, and he later adopted a second son.
