History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: Vani wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... As she has aged she has sought to do reparations for her actions as a youth. She is also making sure that her compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal.
