She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wants her loneliness to end; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and she desires to right it

After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Butcher. Being a Butcher kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
