History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: He got into the Ruler business at a young age. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Vanchu was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents enrolled her in a Paladin school at a young age so that she could practice her druidic talents. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
