The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying east to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
