Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.
