One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Gifted from a young age, Varis studied abroad. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Slave Trader. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born in the east to a Slave Trader, Patrick learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he feels threatened by others

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: A powerful necromancer made her what she is. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Mortician responsibilities is difficult; and expand her business

History: Torgga was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: To unite with her brother; and to reunite with her absent mother
