History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Nelkin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has worked as a Barrister like his father before him.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: Gifted from a young age, Eloise studied abroad. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and revenge
