History: Cory was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Sarah was born with her mother's beautiful face. When Sarah reached her early adolescence her Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, she put together a working one.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with her Ruler father left her crippled. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
