Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the west. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Richard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Richard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and retire the richest man in the west

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.
