History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He worked as a nervous Carpenter and found it very stressful. He has worked as a Carpenter like his mother before him.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Gerald was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Assassin. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Prone to second guessing herself, she comes off as nervous. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Bricklayer, and she later adopted a second son.

Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. Merla enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and she's looking for her big break

History: Stannor was born with his mother's beautiful face. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Assassin they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bather, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and a strong sense of loyalty to gnomish people
