History: Gifted from a young age, Shamash studied abroad. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
