Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the north were limited. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A gifted student she started as a Baker, but she got bored and became a Server. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He now owns his own business.
