History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gargax was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
