History: Born in the west to a Miner, Jak learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miner.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Marry her sister to traveling adventurers; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister
