Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Qualen embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Knight mother left him crippled. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Architect for hire.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Nija was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Nija's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Nija and her spouse have recently divorced.
