Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He worked as a nervous Bricklayer and found it very stressful. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bertram is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He tends to his Crown-heir job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: She was born in the north. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
