Description: A pudgy man standing about 4'8" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He is generally shirtless and showing off his tattooed chest. He sports a flattop hair cut. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Halfling culture. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Efferil grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Efferil. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is his passion; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has passion for adventuring and risk

Personality: She exudes charisma. She is a tour de force of persuasion. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She found a children's book about a Human Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Description: A woman of a pale complexion, she is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Her gray fur is unkempt and raggedy. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She hates brigands. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing singing.

History: She got into the Mercenary business at a young age. Her parents were killed by brigands in a raid when she was still a young child. The brigands captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and revenge

Description: This eastern man is abnormally tall. He wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). His whole body is exceptionally muscular. He has black fur. His blue eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: River was born with his mother's beautiful face. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tabaxis in the east were limited. After a long history of fighting, River and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and to settle down with his crush
