His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He found a children's book about a Tabaxi Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sickle.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away.

Personality: She acts crazy and hedonistic. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Maiathah was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Maiathah's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Fisher for the past few years.
