When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Map Maker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. Enialis enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Enialis was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Shepherd. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She comes from a rich western family. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Mason responsibilities is difficult; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister
