Personality: Kaladan wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Born in the east to a Fortune-teller, Kaladan learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Fortune-teller kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Xanaphia grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Xanaphia. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Stableman for the past few years.
