History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to get a good night's sleep

History: She was born in the east. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Spy they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Adventurer, and she later adopted a second daughter.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the east were limited. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Lone lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents were killed by illithids in a raid when she was still a young child. The illithids captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Revenge.
