She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Kava took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up falchion and armor she uses now. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. In her 17th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Maegan was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.
