History: Joan hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting gnolls, the young Joan began to lead the lost caravan. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: She was raised in a island tribe. Elysande liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. After a long history of fighting, Elysande and her spouse have recently divorced.
