Description: He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright red and yellow, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his sai, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a skull on it. His auburn hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Thorpe embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He disdains his fellow southerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now owns his own business.

Description: This slender man stands about 6'3". He very much looks the part of a Miner. His blue hair is braided into rings. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: Oriax was born the youngest of three triplets. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears dull grey sweaters, loose white pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath her sweater she keeps a concealed flail, just in case. Her blonde hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She invites people to come help in her community garden.

History: The child of a Bowyer, who enjoyed hunting, Kathra was taken on many hunting expeditions. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and she desires power and/or immortality

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears a simple black robe with brown stripes complete with hood. Her hair is black and curly. Her skin is flawless and her black eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: She seems to be bored by most things; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
