History: Shamash was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Shamash fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is cool and collected. He likes to make quips and puns whenever he does anything. He also makes a point to compliment his superiors and flatter them. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tabaxis in the west were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his religion dominates his actions

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is her passion
